Lilly has been a bit inconsistent but has not given up more than 4 earned runs over his last 8 starts. The Cubs lefty keeps the Padres at 4 or less that should be good enough. With the Cubs hot bats and good bullpen Lilly pitches his team in position to win games. The Padres are near the bottom in the Majors in runs scored and batting average.
